A partnership with House of Hackney

Supporting life sustaining resources through regeneration.

“Since the day our House was built, a sense of compassion for people and planet has served as the foundation of everything we do. Delivering on our mission is grounded in three key areas: evolving products to regenerate Nature’s resources, being activists and advocates for a future where all life on earth can thrive, and redefining what ‘good’ business should look like.”
– Javvy M Royle, co-founder of House of Hackney.

As a UK luxury interiors brand with a strong environmental ethos, House of Hackney sets the standard for integrating regenerative materials into their design. By working with The Woolkeepers®, House of Hackney show people how sustainability and style can go hand-in-hand, creating a blueprint for a more regenerative future.

This partnership celebrates a mutual commitment to life-sustaining resources, creating a ripple effect of positive change across industries and ecosystems. Together, The Woolkeepers® and House of Hackney are exploring what’s possible with wool.

Did you know…. by managing a clip size of approximately 800,000kg, The Woolkeepers® have the capability to impact around 59,000 hectares (146,000 acres) of land, predominantly through pasture grazing, highlighting the potential for significant land regeneration?

Why choose wool?

This cushion is filled with 100% Woolkeepers® British wool. Wool is naturally anti-allergy, resistant to dust mites and bacteria and is considered to be the eco-friendliest filling available. Each item sold enables House of Hackney to purchase and protect 35 square metres of forest, thanks to their partnership with the World Land Trust, the international conservation charity that safeguards our most vital natural ecosystems and threatened habitats, acre by acre.

Wool growers

The wool in House of Hackney cushions comes from British sheep farmers, carefully selected through The Woolkeepers® community. Unlike large-scale Merino farms, UK flocks are smaller, and our unique blends are crafted based on fibre quality, breed, and farm location.

Each batch of wool is assigned a reference number, ensuring full traceability back to the farmers who grew it. This open approach builds trust in every fibre.
